Please note that CJE's Passover food is not recommended for kosher consumers, and similar concerns may apply year-round. While CJE provides vital services—especially to the elderly—it is concerning that its kashrut standards no longer meet longstanding community expectations. The cRc urges community members to contact CJE and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago to advocate for food that meets communal standards, allowing all to remain faithful to halacha.
