"And they brought the Mishkan to Moshe" (Shemot 39:33) Rashi brings the Midrash that no one else was able to erect the Mishkan—only Moshe Rabbeinu. Rebbe Nachman teaches that the Mishkan, the place where the Shechinah dwells, is built through the prayers of Am Yisrael. Every tefillah a Jew offers adds another piece to the construction of the Mishkan. However, in order for these prayers to reach their proper place, we must bring them to Moshe Rabbeinu. We do not always understand how our prayers work or where they are needed, but the tzaddik—the Moshe of the generation—does. This is why we must connect our tefillos to the true tzaddik, so they can ascend to their rightful place and contribute to the completion of the Mishkan. May we soon see its rebuilding in our days, Amen! Shabbat Shalom! |
