Rebbe Nachman teaches from the wording of this verse that true wisdom sometimes means knowing how to conduct ourselves like an animal—when we do not understand HaShem's ways. When a person considers themselves wise—almost as if they are a deputy to the Creator—questions begin to arise: Why did HaShem do this? Why did October 7th happen? But when a person knows how to act in such times like an animal—not questioning, not trying to understand, but continuing forward with simple and wholehearted faith in HaShem—this is the greatest wisdom of all.
