Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av You are part of a growing community of women joining together monthly on Rosh Chodesh for inspiration and connection. This month is unique in its sharp contrast of emotional intensity and experience.  We begin the month with the Nine Days, climaxing in Tisha B'Av with the mourning of the Batei Mikdash to be followed by the comfort and calming joy of Shabbos Nachamu.  The name of this month captures this intimacy and intensity of experience.  Av translates as father – the parent who is present to support his child through troubles and joy.  We even refer to this month as Menachem Av, the comforting father.  On a national level, we hope to feel Hashem's presence even as we experience our greatest national tragedies and sense His comforting presence as we hear the words of Yeshayahu, Nachamu, Nachamu Ami.  We pray that we are able to not only feel Hashem's presence and comfort but to truly experience the unadulterated joy in celebration of a rebuilt Beit HaMikdash, may it come speedily in our day. It happened at around 7:00PM, when a man was shot while walking outside the Shul located at 10th Ave near 171st Street. Hatzolah of Miami Dade was on the scene and treated the victim, reportedly in his 60’s, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his leg. He was taken to Aventura Medical Center, and is reportedly in stable condition. Law-enforcement sources confirm to YWN that the victim was sitting outside Shul waiting for Mincha, when a vehicle drove past and opened fire. Six shots were fired, and 4 struck the victim in his leg. Police in North Miami Beach Police are on the scene, and possibly looking for a dark colored Camaro or Impala. Additional details on the vehicle police are looking for will be published when security camera footage provides that to law enforcement. Please say Tehillim for Yosef Noach ben Leah Tzivyah.

Ywn Aneinu TEHILLIM – Serious Crash On Tappan Zee Bridge Leaves Jewish Man Critical

An early morning crash has left a Jewish man with critical injuries. It happened at around 5:00AM on the Tappan Zee Bridge / NYS Thruway. Sources tell YWN that there were two occupants in the vehicle travelling from Monsey to NYC. One has stable injuries, and one sustained serious injuries. He was rushed by EMS to Westchester Trauma Center, where he underwent emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition. The cause of the crash is unknown, and the NY State Police is investigating. Please say Tehillim for Yoel ben Sara Esther who is critical, and Yaakov Zev ben Heniya who is stable but undergoing tests.

MOSHAV MEVO MODI’IM HIGHLIGHTED DURING NSN’S VISIT TO ISRAEL

Nachum and company were live from The Inbal Jerusalem Hotel this morning for their second special broadcast from the Holy Land. Nachum was joined by Nachman Solomon, member of the Moshav Mevo Modi’im and member of The Solomon Brothers Band, live at The Inbalto discuss how the moshav’s recovery efforts are going since the devastating fire that destroyed most of the homes.
