Dear Aneinu Members,
Dear Aneinu Members,
This Shabbos we celebrate the life of Sarah Imeinu. How did Sarah do it? Faced with numerous difficult challenges in her life, including waiting 90 years to have a child, she remained steadfast in her emunah and bitachon. She embraced life, along with the pain and difficulties that she was confronted with. Our sages tell us that at the age of 127 she was as pure as when she was a child. Sarah Imeinu never complained, no matter the difficulty of her tests. She saw the good in everything that happened to her, as well as the good in everyone around her. She never lost sight of her goal which was to serve Hashem and bring the world to recognize, love, honor, and glorify Him.
We live in difficult times, and very often life doesn't seem to make much sense. Let's honor the mother of Am Yisroel by emulating this special middah of seeing the good in everyone, and reminding ourselves in the midst of our challenges, that they are sent by Hashem with love, for our ultimate good. After all, it is in our DNA, passed down to us from Sara Imeinu to her children.
Please say your Tehillim this Shabbos. As the days are getting shorter, please remember that it is perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
