Western Avenue Corridor Study Since January of last year, I have been working with the City of Chicago and community partners on an ambitious planning study for Western Avenue. The Western Avenue Corridor Study reimagines the future of Western from Howard Street in the 50th Ward south to Addison. After more than a year of work, the City presented a draft proposal to the public last week. The planning team's goals are to develop thriving places, safe and attractive streets, and resilient communities. You can view a copy of the draft proposal here and a recording of the public meeting here. An exhibit on the Western Avenue Corridor Study is also currently on display at the Northtown Library. We are looking for public comment on the draft proposal before it is officially submitted to the Chicago Plan Commission for implementation. Take the survey here and give your feedback now.
