Dear Friend,
Chodesh Iyar is a time of growth - with the entire month enveloped into the Omer period in contrast to the months of Nissan and Sivan. The month is completely dedicated to personal and interpersonal growth, themes associated with our journey to receiving the Torah as well as remembering the students of Rabbi Akiva. Let us capitalize on the unique opportunity that Iyar provides us with - to focus on our growth and development in anticipation of receiving the Torah in Chodesh Sivan.
Please join the OU Women's Initiative at ou.org/women/rc on April 21 at 12 noon EST for our virtual Rosh Chodesh Iyar shiur with Dr. Chaya Sima Koenigsberg.
Chaya Sima Koenigsberg is an assistant professor of Judaic studies at Lander College for Women, the Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School. She received her MA and PhD in Jewish philosophy from Yeshiva University's Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies.
