Chol Hamoed Kumzits for Bnei Yeshiva

This year's Chol Hamoed Pesach was enhanced with a night of singing and inspiration for the local Bnei Yeshiva. On Thursday evening, AIOI and Mesamchai Leiv Orchestras hosted a Kumzits at Beis Medrash Mikor Hachaim, featuring the singer Chaim Blumenfeld. Well over a hundred men and bochurim participated, enjoying beautiful niggunim and hot cholent. Rabbi Nosson Muller, Menahel of Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi, spoke words of chizuk that were appreciated by all. Special thanks to R' Gershon Friedman for taking care of all the technical arrangements and thank you to the sponsors of the event.

Library Video Zman on Chol Hamoed

As a bonus Yom Tov service for the children of Library members, the Antonia Spitzer Jewish Library offered its first Video Zman this Pesach. Held on the afternoon of the third day of Chol Hamoed in the new Agudath Israel Community Center, both girls and boys were provided with a 2 hour slot to come watch new videos purchased specially by the library for the event. As a rule, the library only shows videos that are at the same time enjoyable, educational and of course, have proper haskafos. That is why the girls who came enjoyed their musical and well-acted video title "Fraulein" about Sarah Schneier and the boys enjoyed a video from the Chofetz Chaim Heritage foundation along with an episode of the Twins From France. Hopefully similar programs will be available on upcoming Yomim Tovim, as well. This showing, of course, was in addition to Video Hour for girls and boys each Sunday afternoon at the library. For more information, please contact the library at 773.279.8400 ext. 270 to speak to the librarian during library hours or to leave a message.

Pirchei Off Day, On Day Program

Pirchei hosted an Off Day, On Day Program on Monday, Isru Chag Pesach. Close to 100 boys came to learn in Adas Yeshurin, followed by an exciting trip to the JCC for swim and pizza!
