Welcome back to another wonderful day of Emunah and Bitachon. It's the week of Pesach — there's no better time to talk about preparing ourselves for Geulah!

The Sfas Emes comments on the words בְּכָל דּוֹר וָדוֹר חַיָּב אָדָם לִרְאוֹת אֶת עַצְמוֹ כְּאִילוּ הוּא יָצָא מִמִּצְרַיִם — in every generation, a person must see themselves as if they left Mitzrayim. He teaches that the more we speak about Geulah, the more we strengthen our belief in it. And the stronger our Emunah in the Geulah, the more we are מעורר (awaken) the Geulah. We actually stir it awake! Spiritually, we bring the Geulah closer.

But it goes deeper. The Sfas Emes explains that it's not only about bringing out the past redemption of Yetziyas Mitzrayim. When we talk about Geulah, we also give koach — strength — to the future redemption, the Geulah Asida. We often speak about this: there's a personal Geulah and there's the collective Geulah Klalis. Each of us needs personal salvations, and together we yearn for the ultimate Geulah of Klal Yisrael, the coming of Mashiach.

We have a tremendous opportunity — to believe in Geulah, to make ourselves into a kli, a vessel for redemption. And through this, Hashem will send the Geulah. As we've mentioned before, the words האמנתי כי אדבר — I believed because I spoke — carry profound meaning. Speaking words of Emunah doesn't just inspire us; it transforms us. When we speak of Emunah, we make ourselves into vessels for Geulah.

Emunah empowers us. It supercharges our souls to become vessels of Kedusha, vessels of holiness and faith.

There's one powerful word in the Haggadah I want to focus on — a word we should not just mention today but return to again and again. The word is ונצעק from ונצעק אל ה' אלוקי אבותינו — "We cried out to Hashem."

The Sfas Emes, Reb Tzadok in Pri Tzaddik, and other sefarim teach that saying ונצעק with true kavanah awakens tremendous powers in Shamayim.

Reb Biderman shares a powerful story about this:

There was once a simple Jew who rented an inn from the local poritz, a non-Jewish landowner. He struggled to make ends meet, and the poritz warned him: "If you don't pay me right after Passover, I'll throw you and your wife into the dungeon."

Terrified, the man traveled to the Apter Rov for help. With no money for the journey, he walked for hours through mud and rain, arriving Erev Shabbos HaGadol- covered in mud, drenched, and exhausted. The gabbai took one look at him and turned him away: "The Rebbe isn't available. You'll have to wait until after Shabbos." He begged, but to no avail. He waited through Shabbos.

So, the man waits. During Shabbos, the Apter Rov gives the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. The first half was deep Torah, secrets of the world. The simple Jew doesn't understand much. But then, in the second half, the Rebbe begins explaining the words of the Haggadah. When he reached ונצעק, he declared: "In Mitzrayim, they cried out and were saved, but it is not just in Mitzrayim! Today, anyone at their Seder who cries out to Hashem with all their heart will also be answered! If you need children, cry out! If you need parnassah, cry out! Even," the Rebbe said, "if someone rents an inn and faces prison from the poritz, let him cry out at ונצעק! Cry out with all your heart!"

The man realizes—this is his answer. He doesn't even wait to speak to the Apter Rov after Shabbos. He hurried home and told his wife, "We know what to do."

The night of the Seder came. When they reached ונצעק, he said, "Now! Cry out!" They began screaming, "ונצעק!" Crying out with all their heart — five minutes, ten minutes. His wife asked, "How long should we cry?" He replied, "I don't know — just keep crying!" Fifteen minutes, twenty minutes passed. Suddenly, a knock at the door.

A non-Jew stood there, carrying two massive barrels of gold. He confessed, " just killed someone and I'm running from the police. I need to hide this gold. I trust the Jews. Keep it safe. If I don't return, it's yours."

ונצעק! Their salvation had come.

After Pesach, the man paid the poritz in full. The poritz, impressed, made him a permanent tenant. Not only was he saved, he was elevated!

After Yom Tov, he buys himself nice clothes and a fine horse, and he returns to the Apter Rov. He says, "Rebbe, this is your miracle money!" But the Apter Rov replies, "No, no, no—it wasn't me. It was your ונצעק. It was your crying out that brought the salvation!"

What a story! And there's more.

Reb Biderman shares another story about a young Chassidishe man named Manesh, who was 28 years old, not the "perfect candidate" for shidduchim. He also had a brother, who was 26. And he heard the segulah of saying "ונצעק" at the night of the seder.

During the Seder, surrounded by his family, they reached ונצעק. Manesh banged on the table. "Quiet! Everybody quiet!"

He began screaming: "Manesh wants to be a chosson! Manesh will be a chosson!" He cried tears, screaming ונצעק! His family tried to calm him, but he insisted, "No! Cry with me!" Soon, the whole table was shouting ונצעק! Manesh wants to be a chosson!"

Then he says, his mother says, "Okay, calm down, it'll be good, don't worry." But he insisted, "Now, my brother Yankel — we need to cry for him too!" And again, they all screamed ונצעק! for Yankel, pouring their hearts into the moment.

On Chol Hamoed, the phone rang. Shidduch suggestions for Manesh and Yankel! Within weeks, both were ready to get engaged. They even asked the Vizhnitzer Rebbe if they could get engaged on the same day. The Rebbe replied: "One on Tuesday, one on Wednesday." And so it was. Both found their matches and were married within months.

The power of ונצעק!

Reb Biderman teaches: every Jew sitting at the Seder has a golden opportunity to speak to Hashem. Shaarei Shamayim are open! The gates of Heaven are wide open.

Don't waste it!

When we reach ונצעק, daven, scream, cry — because as the Sfas Emes says, you are not only awakening the redemption of the past, you are awakening your personal redemption as well.

So as we prepare for Pesach, let's carry this emunah pshutah — simple, pure faith — that Hashem is listening to every word. He never stops listening. Our mission is clear: ונצעק! Cry out with emunah! Believe! Hashem is listening. Awaken the Geulah — for yourself, for your family, for all of Klal Yisrael.

Wishing you a wonderful day filled with Geulah Sheleimah.
