Subject: [chicago-aneinu] Update from the Brandman's
Hi - Here is an update from the Brandman's:

BH! We have good news, Binyamin left the ICU and we got the results from the MRI
today and he is going in the right direction.
They have completely stopped all sedation and he is much more awake and responsive.

We still need a lot of tefillos!!!

He still has no movement in the right side, a lot of flem in his trak, his fracture in his neck has to heal, and that all his rehabilitation goes smoothly (talking ,eating, walking and his cognitive behaviors heal properly)

We have no words to thank everybody for taking time off your busy schedules to help us continue seeing all the

Whoever is able to accept שבת early this week which is מקור הברכה can help him heal faster and smoother.

Update - Binyamin ben Daniella Margalit, son of Rabbi Moshe and Daniella Brandman,
and grandson of Alan and Sari Ray:

We would like to thank everyone for all the teffilos, tehilim and kabalos you are doing.
BH bzchus the teffilos there have been improvements. He has started breathing on his own and his vital signs are stable. Hopefully he will be moving out of the ICU over the next few days.
Today he is taking an important MRI so please give extra tefillos.
The next step to recovery is to get him more awake and alert and to have a complete refuah shelama.

We also know that shabbos is מקור הברכה so anyone who can accept shabbos early bezchus his refuah shelama would be a great zchus.

Update - Binyamin ben Daniella Margalit, son of Rabbi Moshe and Daniella Brandman,
and grandson of Alan and Sari Ray:

BH with all the tehilim, teffila and kabalas we see the improvement in Binyamin's situation . He had a tracheostomy which was very successful. They were able to lower his sedation and his oxygen and hopefully by the end of next week they can wean him off completely.
He still has a long way to go. The next step is Binyamin waking up and bezres hashem get back to his old self.
We truly appreciate what everyone has done for Binyamin and our family. We still need to storm the שמים with more tehilim, teffila, and  kabalos.
Anyone who can take shabbos early is a zchus as we know shabbos is the מקור הברכה.
HAVE A GREAT שבת

Update - Binyamin ben Daniella Margalit, son of Rabbi Moshe and Daniella Brandman, and grandson of Alan and Sari Ray.

A quick update BH binyamin is stable. He is still incubated with a breathing tube. They have tried reducing the sedation several times to see if there is any progress. The first few times there was none but Sunday morning saw a minimal movement in his feet and left hand.      Tomorrow they are having a procedure , a tracheostomy to insert a breathing tube. With all the continues  tefillos which our family appreciates so so much may we be able to share good news very soon.
************************************************

1) For the musician, with musical accompaniment on the sheminis instrument, a mizmor by David. (2) Hashem, don't rebuke me in Your anger. Don't chastise me in Your rage. (3) Grant me Your mercy, Hashem, for I have been cut down. (4) Heal me, Hashem, for my bones shake with terror. My soul is utterly terrified, and You Hashem — How long? (5) Turn back, Hashem, release my soul. Save me as befits Your kindness ... (6) for there is no mention of You in death. In the grave who will thank You? (7) I am exhausted from groaning; every night my bed is drenched; with my tears I soil the place where I have lain.  (8) My eye is dimmed from anger, aged by all my tormentors. (9) Depart from me all wrongdoers, for Hashem has heard the sound of my weeping. (10) Hashem has heard my plea; Hashem will accept my prayer. (11) They will be ashamed and will be utterly astounded. When all my enemies return, they will be ashamed for a while.

(1) For the musician, a mizmor by David. (2) May Hashem answer you on the day of distress. May the Name of Yaakov's G-d protect you. (3) May He send your help from the Mikdash; may He support you from Tzion. (4) May He give consideration to all your minchah-offerings. May He accept your olah-offerings, Selah. (5) May He grant you according to your heart. May He fulfill your every plan. (6) We will sing joyously because of your deliverance, and we will gather around banners in the Name of our G-d. May Hashem fulfill all your requests.  (7) Now I know that Hashem continues to save His anointed one. He will continue to answer from His holy heaven, with the mighty victories of His right hand. (8) Some [depend] on chariots, and some on horses. We call out the Name of Hashem, our G-d. (9) They slumped and fell, but we stood up and were empowered. (10) Hashem save! May the King answer us on the day we call.

Tehillim (Psalms) - Chapter 142

1A maskil of David, when he was in the cave, a prayer.
2[With] my voice, I cry out to the Lord; [with] my voice, I supplicate the Lord.
3I pour out before Him my speech; my distress I recite before Him.
4When my spirit enwraps itself upon me, and You know my path. In whichever way I go, they have hidden a snare for me.
5Looking to the right, I see that no one recognizes me; escape is lost from me; no one seeks my soul.
6I cried out to You, O Lord; I said, "You are my refuge, my lot in the land of the living."
7Hearken to my cry for I have become very low; save me from my pursuers for they have overpowered me.
8Take my soul out of confinement to give thanks to Your name; because of me the righteous will crown You, because You will recompense me.
