A heartfelt Mazal Tov on the occasion of the birth of my first two great-grandchildren:

• A son born to my grandson, Reb Tzvi Deitsch, son of my daughter Tzivia, tichyeh.
•
A son born to my grandson, Reb Nachman Greenwald, son of my daughter Rachel, a"h.

May the proud parents merit to raise them to Torah, chuppah, and good deeds, and may we all share in true nachas!
BRI PARSHAH TIDBITS
"And Jacob called his sons, etc., "Gather together," etc., "Assemble yourselves," etc."

Within these words lies the guidance for the Jewish people during their exile until the final redemption.

The term "gathering" (asifah) refers to bringing together those who are already close. Jacob initially thought this was sufficient for redemption. However, when he realized that the Divine Presence had departed from him, he called again, saying, "Assemble yourselves" (hikabtzu), addressing even those who are distant.

The concept of a sacred assembly involves gathering together for a holy purpose, where every individual's participation is significant. Reb Noson emphasized the importance of traveling to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, stressing that no one should be absent. This plea originates from Jacob's words: as more souls yearn to draw closer to God, they can help bring even the most distant into the circles of holiness.

We see this manifesting clearly in those who come to such gatherings. We must do everything in our power, especially during these days marking the 180th yahrzeit of Reb Noson, to bring as many people as possible into mitzvah-related activities.

It is within our hands, and it is also the true path to redemption. May we merit this speedily in our days, Amen.

Shabbat Shalom,

Chaim Kramer
