BARUCH DAYEN EMES SHLIACH WIFE AND 3 OTHERS HAVE DIED
Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum of Jerusalem(Aryeh Leibish ben Elta Nechama Maltshi Teitelbaum), the son of the Volover Rebbe of Boro Park and son-in-law of the head of the Toldos Avraham Yitzhak Chassidic sect, was in Mumbai and hasn't been heard from, as is the case with his co-worker Ben Tzion(CHROMAN) BEN ELKA of Bat Yam. It is believed, however, that at least one or both of the men may have escaped harm SO KEEP UP THAT TEHILLIM

TEHILLIM NEEDED - Chabad Shaliach & Wife Missing Since Terror Attack

As soon as the news broke of the Mumbai terror attacks, YWN contacted
Chabad officials to inquire if the local Shaliach was assisting in
rescue efforts - as is the case when tragedies occur across the globe.
We also inquired if there were any Jews R”L killed and/or injured.
“We will get back to you as soon as we reach the Shaliach”, was
the response.
Several hours have passed, and the local Chabad Shliach, Rabbi
Gavriel Holtzberg, and his wife Rivka cannot be located. Numerous
attempts to locate him have failed.
According to some reports, one of the bombs was detonated near the
Chabad House located on 5 Hormusji Street - Nariman House in
Mumbai’s Colaba area. Another Chabad official told YWN that there
are unconfirmed reports that the Chabad House was “taken-over by the
terrorists”.
“We are working closely with the American and Israeli
Government’s to try and get credible information”.
“We are waiting for them to contact us,” the anxious
mother-in-law of the Shliach, Mrs. Yehudis Rosenberg told a Chabad
website. “It’s possible that the phone system in the country
crashed - which is a frequent occurrence there.”

The cRc is happy to inform the community that after intensive inspection and consultation with HaRav Gedalia Dov Schwartz, shlit”a, kohanim are able to visit the Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago from now until February 15, 2009 ONLY. In the interim, all exhibits and materials which were/are problematic for kohanim are currently in on-site storage behind several doors.

who had a brain tumor

and I just found out today
that within 24 hours of the yarzeit of Rochel Imeinu

FROM ACHDUS BULLETIN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE FOUND NEAR SHUL
The incident did not occur in Chicago but in DesPlaines at a
synagogue
located at 9401 Margail.
A device was apparently left there late on 11/8 which burst on Sunday
morning 11/9.
The device was configured with a plastic pop bottle that had some
chemical and metal fragments in it.
The cold snap in the weather caused the liquid to expand when
freezing
and burst the plastic bottle.
No one was hurt but damage to a screen door was noticed on 11/9.
Both the DesPlaines and State Police departments are investigating.

I started Nach Yomi a year ago now BARUCH HASHEM BLI EIN HARA I am in the progam a year so join Rabbi Allen Schwartz for ZECHARIAH
(Rabbi Allen Schwartz, of Congregation Ohab Zedek, has been teaching Bible for the past two decades at Yeshiva University, where he holds the Raymond J. Greenwald Chair in Jewish Studies.
His his doctoral thesis is on the methodology of Rashi and he has published on the themes of Bible, Rabbinics and Halakha. He has also taught at the Manhattan Day School. Rabbi Schwartz writes Bible curriculum for Jewish day schools and lectures extensively for the Board of Jewish Education of New York. He serves on the executive board of the Rabbinical Council of America, the board of governors of the Orthodox Union, and the board of directors of North American Conference of Ethiopian Jewry. Many other organizations and centers of Jewish learning benefit from his dedication and leadership including Yeshivat Shaalvim, Yeshivat Beit Medrash L'Torah, the Midtown Board of Kashruth, and the Manhattan Orthodox Caucus. He served on the board of directors of Project Dorot and was chairman of the UJA-Federation Task Force on Jewish Singles)download shiur here
