Some of you may recall that almost three years ago I appealed to you to daven on behalf a dear friend, Brocha Bassheva bas Rochel Dubra, a newlywed who discovered she had acute leukemia while pregnant with her first child. You'll be happy to know that, despite being delivered pre-maturely by C-section, Bracha Bassheva's baby Chani has thrived Bli Eyin Horah and is a normal, energetic two-and-a-half year old.
Brocha Bassheva received a bone marrow donation from a stranger in November 2007 which was working successfully until very recently, but unfortunately she has had a reoccurance of the disease and needs our tefillos now more badly than ever. He uncle went to Rav Chaim Kanievski for a brocha and was told that it is very important to tell as many people as possible to daven as hard as they can for her so I am asking you, as personal friends, to please keep her in mind in your davening and, if you can, whenever you can, to say extra tehillim or take on an extra mitzva in her zechus.
Thank you so much in advance and I hope to only b in touch for good reasons in the future.

LAST 1 DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 11
DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 10
Q:What are the different minhagim of the seder 10 makos?
A:From the ou webcast: I spoke to a talmid of Rav Yosef Ber Soloveitchik Zt"l who attended his sedarim this is what he wrote:
Of course I remember; I made it my business to remember almost everything my Rebbe did.
He did not dip his finger or pour from his cup on the seder night. If I recall correctly,he said that his family had a tradition that the Vilner Gaon did not. There are many halakhic reasons that could be given why one might not(especially since this is not a minhag mentioned by most rishonim or the S'A), and no convincing reasons 'a pi halokho why someone should. S'faaradim and Teimanim also did not have this custom.
The Chabad custom is to pour from the cup to a broken dish.
The Ashkenism dip their finger. There is a 3 way argument as to which finger, ring, small and index. We follow the index because it is the finger of G-d.

DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 8
DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 7
The haggadah says Yaakov and his sons went down to Egypt
Why in perek 46 verse 6 why does it say coming to Egypt. Rav Moshe says it teaches us an important lesson when the jews were in Egypt they never learned from the Egyptians ways. They were never permanent dwellers in Egypt, but only coming to Egypt.

Fw: [chicago-aneinu] Urgent! From Hakhel
The Rubashkin-Pesach petition you signed last week is not being used per the recommendation of community leaders, but they ask you to please sign this new petition ASAP, and to ask at least 10 contacts to sign!
It's urgent that you sign the NEW PETITION available at www.justiceforsholom.org
even if you already signed the Pesach petition!
It's critical that we have 50,000 signatures by Sunday - so that we can take the campaign to the press IY"H. Please get 10 friends to sign the petition! Don't rely on someone else...response has been poor...please take a minute now and do it.
Please also voice your concern by sending an email to Department of Justice:
oipl@usdoj.gov and copy pr@justiceforsholom.org
Check below to find a message you can forward to friends.
Time is of essence! The Prosecutor has to make their recommendation for sentencing on April 9th. It's imperative they know that Americans nationwide are deeply disturbed. Please act Now!!!! Thank you!
-----------------------------------------------
To all friends and constituents of Agudath Israel:
We have been working closely with Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin's lawyers and other organizations and askonim concerned about his incarceration and his upcoming sentencing, currently scheduled for April 28. This tragic case is at a critical juncture right now, and demands our attention and action even as we are all busy with Pesach.
In issuing this call to our friends and constituents, we are in no way condoning any criminal conduct. However, as detailed in the memo available at http://tinyurl.com/yj372kj prepared by a lawyer familiar with the case, it is clear that the federal government has been overly zealous in pursuing Mr. Rubashkin and has submitted him to considerably more severe restrictions and potential punishment than others in similar cases. The memo is quite an eye-opener, well worth reading despite its length.
The bottom line is that Mr. Rubashkin is being kept in jail pending sentencing, and is not even being allowed to go home for the Pesach sedorim next week, despite his willingness to post a large bond and hire a full-time guard. With respect to the sentencing, he faces the possibility of a very lengthy sentence - upward of 20 years, Rch'l - far beyond the sentences imposed on others whose crimes were significantly more severe than anything Mr. Rubashkin may have done.
We are therefore asking you, our friends and constituents, to take a few minutes during this zman cheiruseinu to communicate your respectful concern over the handling of the Rubashkin case, his incarceration pending sentencing, and the excessive sentence being considered.
Please make your concerns known to the Justice Department's Office of Intergovernmental and Public Liaison at 202-514-3465 or oipl@usdoj.gov . Also, if you are able, please sign the online petition available at www.justiceforsholom.org ; this petition will be forwarded to the U.S. Attorney's office in Iowa, which is prosecuting the Rubashkin case. We are hopeful that this expression of public support will have a positive impact on the case.
Many thanks. Best wishes for a chag kasher v'someiach. May we share besoros tovos.

DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 5
Q:What the chacam say and the Rasha say are very similar what is the difference
A:Rav Ovadya Yosef brings Rav Akivi Yitzchak who brings a mashal there was a doctor who said I need you to open up your mouth to see how sick you are.So to by the chacam and rasha by the way they speak that is the difference in their question.
DIVAR TORAHS ON THE HAGGADAH PART 4
The haggadah says in vhi shemda for not only 1 has risen against us to annihilate us
Rav Pam says all the bad stuff that happpens to the jews was with HASHEM love and hashgaca pratis and will all work out. Like the Chafetz Chaim says by Yosef his slavery was all hasgaca pratis in the end it was all good.
