There is one day a year in which one is promised to receive good news (if he/she follows the suggestions to follow), whether with regard to finding one's soulmate, healing from illness, relief from anxiety, or abundant livelihood.

This special day begins on Friday night and extends for 25 hours. It is considered to be the one day of the year that is most effective for bringing good news from above by many holy and righteous Tzadikim – among them Ba'al Pri Ha'aretz Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk zt"l (who lived about 250 years ago and was the Rabbi of the Ba'al Tanya zt"l). 

We are told that whoever blesses Shabbat Mevarchim (the Shabbat that occurs right before the month of Elul), especially when it coincides with Parashat Re'eh, will merit to witness with their own eyes the promise that is given in the first sentence of the parsha

 ״ראה אנכי נותן לפניכם היום ברכה״ -see that I give before you today a blessing"). 

 

First and foremost, it is important to be thoughtful and kind to others by sharing this information with them so that they may partake of this wonderful segulah.

The best way to maximize the blessings that one may receive in the merit of this Shabbat is by saying as much Tehillim as possible (each based on his or her own ability).

Rabbi Chaim Pelaggi zt"l writes that King David will protect whoever reads Tehillim so that they may merit children, health, livelihood, abundance, and longevity. Women especially have a unique connection with Tehillim and can utilize this special segulah, especially now as their children embark on the start of the new school year.
