JI Pirchei Yisroel – Yimloich
The “Pirchei Yisrael” choir is proud to present a new single, “Yimloch” an impressive and powerful sample of their second album which is due out soon. The choir is continually inspiring and capturing the hearts of traditional music lovers, and is now releasing a new single, dedicated to Yerushalayim.
This single comes from the creator of the choir, and it speaks about Ahavas Chinam and Achdus, directing our hearts to the East, and continues to ascend up to Yerushalayim. This song is like a breath of fresh air in the world of traditional Mid-Eastern music. Its success comes on the heels of the first single B’Ahavas Chinam, which pushed the directors of the choir to move things along and to release the full album, which will be out in a few days.
The choir, which is conducted by Meir Gabay and under the artistic direction of Arnon Goldberg, was established seven years ago and is comprised of about twenty talented boys in varying lineups. The choir is the only active religious boys choir in Giv’at Shmuel and it has achieved a lot of support and appreciation from the leaders of the city who dedicated themselves to the advancement of culture in the city.
The choir members meet to practice every week, and they put on massive concerts both in Israel and worldwide alongside professional musicians. The young ensemble specializes in an impressive repertoire of both Israeli songs and songs of faith and soul, with new arrangements and innovative melodies. The richness of the musical styles and the diversity of the lyrics, aims to represent the fabric of the Israeli culture and to show its many components to be “the face of all of Israel”.
“With this new single Yimloch we are aiming to capture the hearts of music lovers, and particularly people who love Yerushalayim,” said Meir Gabay, the composer and conductor of the choir. “After the everlasting praise of Yerushalayim by Avihu Medina, the time has come for another new wave of Middle-Eastern spirit, and a spirit of Ahavat Chinam, which will refresh and inspire people toward Yerushalayim.”
The album is due out on Sunday, enjoy!
