A young child is fighting for his life after being struck by an ice cream truck in Monticello, Thursday evening.
Catskills Hatzolah was on the scene at Birchwood Estates in Monticello located on “Rod and Gun Club Road” just after 7:30PM.
The 3-year-old child is reportedly in traumatic arrest.
The Monticello Fire Department and MobileMedics are on the scene as well. A chopper was initially placed on standby, but was the victim transported by ambulance to Catskill Regional Medical Center.
An investigation is underway by the Sullivan County Sheriff Department.
