Community Alert from the Chicago Police Department Dear Neighbor, The Chicago Police Department has reported a recent string of vandalism to vehicles. More than a dozen incidents of broken car windows have occurred across the 24th and 20th Police Districts this month, including several in synagogue parking lots and other locations in the 50th Ward. Please see the following Community Alert from the police for more information:   If you have any information that could aid in the investigation, contact the Area North Bureau of Detectives at (312) 744-8263. You likely also saw news reports of attempted arson at Anshe Sholom B'nai Israel Congregation in Lakeview. This attempted attack is deeply distressing. The Chicago Police Department takes this incident very seriously and has ordered special attention at all Jewish schools, synagogues and businesses. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi has stressed that the incidents in Lakeview and our area do not appear connected and different suspects are sought.
