Subject: [chicago-aneinu] Election Chizuk

ANEINU
DIVRE CHIZUK FOR THESE TIMES
FROM MICHAEL ROTHSCHILD-CHOFETZ CHAIM FOUNDATION
If you are like the other 7 billion people on the planet, you're probably dying to know who will win the election today. And you're probably thinking that you will have to be in suspense until tonight at the earliest, if not later. So I have some extraordinarily good news for you. i know who won, and I'm going to tell you.
And the winner is Klal Yisroel, as in the Jewish People. They're not even on the ballot. So I was talking to my father in Eretz Yisroel, and we were of course talking about the election, like the rest of the world is, and we determined that there is only one factor that's calling the shots in this election. It's not swing states, Fracking, Covid, Hunter Biden, or Twitter. It's Hashem. Hashem has decided who will be the next president of the United States. Period.

But here's the really good news. The only factor that is driving Hashem's decision - the only, only factor, is what is good for Hashem's precious children, Klal Yisroel. I must tell you that a few months ago, I had anxiety about who would win, but Baruch Hashem, now I don't..

Here's how to look at this election.

Imagine you went to an elementary school play and they were re-enacting the 2020 presidential election. There was one student playing Donald Trump and one student playing Joe Biden and you had your definite opinion on which candidate would be good for Klal Yisroel.

How much anxiety would you have watching the play if the other person won?

None, it's a play.

Rabbosai, we are all watching a play right now. We don't have to worry about who will be the next President of the United States, because he has zero power to do anything to us unless Hashem decided it's the best thing for us. At times, Hashem makes things appear harder for us so that we turn to him. That's ultimately good, because that builds our connection to Him and that connection is what we will enjoy for the next trillion years in Olam Habah.

So relax. We got this election any which way it goes.
