In the Otzros Haggadah section(back of big Mesivta haggadah) The Mesivta haggadah asks why do we sing Ma Nishtana?Rav Yehoshua Leib Diskin answers Ma Nishtana is in the gemara Pesachim 116 and the gemara Megillah 32a says And Rav Shefatiah also said in the name of Rav Yochanan whoever reads from the Torah w/o a pleasant tone our recites mishna w/o song about him scripture says So too I gave them decrees which are not good etc.(for more see page 445)
