Chicago's 50th Ward Newsletter

March 20, 2020

Dear Neighbor,

Governor Pritzker has just issued a "stay at home" order for the entire State of Illinois starting Saturday at 5 p.m. through April 7. This means that you should all stay at home as officials work to slow the spread of Coronavirus. For the most up-to-date information, visit the City or State public health websites:

CLICK HERE for the most up-to-date information from the Chicago Department of Public Health – chicago.gov/coronavirus.

CLICK HERE for the most up-to-date information from the Illinois Department of Public Health – coronavirus.illinois.gov.

I would also like to remind everyone of the procedure at the 50th Ward Office during the Coronavirus outbreak. I will continue to update you as more information becomes available, which will likely take the place of the regular weekly emails.

The 50th Ward Office is temporarily closed to walk-in visitors, and staff will be working remotely. You have two options to reach us for the time being
  1. Email your request directly to info@50thwardchicago.com. We are regularly checking email and will respond during normal business hours.
  2. Call the 50th Ward Office at 773-262-1050 and leave a voicemail. We will call you back and help you complete your request.
I look forward to a return to normalcy soon and reopening the Ward Office to the public.

Have a wonderful weekend, and stay safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Debra L. Silverstein
Alderman, 50th Ward
