News from the Agudah:

  • The Agudah will be hosting a virtual Yarchei Kallah next week, from Monday, March 30th until Thursday, April 2nd. We hope that you'll join us in this inspiring program that will cover the topics of the leil haseder. Please see below for more information.

  • Rabbi Avi Schnall and the New Jersey Office of Agudah have engaged a team of professionals who are well versed in the new Federal and State coronavirus programs that can help you, your business, or non-profit. Should you or anyone you know need any guidance, please reach out to us by sending an email to njcovid19@agudah.org with your name, phone number, and a concise description of your situation, and one of their professional volunteers will call you shortly thereafter.

  • The Agudah's Torah Projects Commission is pleased to present this year's series of live Pesach preparation shiurim. The teleconferences begin next week, see below for call-in information.

  • It's time for Klal Yisroel to continue helping Klal Yisroel. Agudas Yisroel is raising money to help people impacted by the economic downturn due to coronavirus. Please help generously here. Thank you to all who responded yesterday - may your help be a zechus for you and your families to stay healthy and safe!

  • In response to the financial hardships brought upon by the Coronavirus, Agudath Israel's SBCO division has set up an emergency mortgage hotline to assist you with all mortgage and other bank loan matters. Please call the hotline at 718-435-1300 extension 120. Leave a clear message as prompted, and a SBCO Counselor will return your call as soon as possible.

  • The Agudah's PCS division is compiling resources to help business owners and job seekers who are facing a financial crisis. If you know of any jobs (even part-time or short-term) that are available now during this crisis, please reach out to us and let us know. You can submit a job here or call 646-610-9701 or 917-213-6883.

  • Please complete the 2020 Census, which you should have received in the mail by now. You can also fill out the census on my2020census.gov, or by calling 1-844-330-2020. Funding for your community is directly impacted by census information!

  • Yesterday's webinar, presented by Roth and Co., regarding the Coronavirus Stimulus Bill Impact was livestreamed to close to 1,500 participants from across 25 states. You can view or download a recording of the webinar here. We hope to be having another webinar on Monday; more information will be forthcoming.

  • The Agudah's Overseas Passover Campaign continues - we have already distributed thousands of dollars to Jews in Belarus and Russia. Your donation is still needed! Donate here, and make sure to write in the memo field that your donation is for the Overseas Passover Campaign.

  • The Pirchei hotline - 718-663-0212- has four new exciting options for your kids to enjoy - make sure your kids check it out! Pirchei is sending out a weekly booklet of stories and divrei Torah for your children - click here and here to download this week's newsletter and stories.

  • Finally, 3,000 of your daughters have been calling the Bnos hotline every day. If your daughter doesn't have the number, here it is: 720-721-4724. To have her join the Bnos Pen Pal program reach out to bnos@agudah.org for more information. Your older girls can join the 100 volunteers calling seniors and those who are home bound to cheer them up during this challenging time. Virtual Yarchei Kallah Program
The Agudah will be hosting an inspiring virtual Yarchei Kallah next week, where we will be hearing from world-renowned English speaking Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonim from Eretz Yisroel. Every day there will be a hachana shiur, a chazarah shiur, a shiur klali, and a shiur halacha l'maaseh covering the sugya of Leil Haseder. Call in and log in information will be available shortly. Pesach Teleconference Series
The Pesach Teleconference Series begins this Sunday evening through Thursday, with Sunday evening having Rabbi Yisroel Reisman in English at 10:00 pm Eastern, and Rabbi Elya Brudny in Yiddish at 10:30 pm Eastern. The call-in number is 212-444-1323, option 9.
Klal Yisroel Helping Klal Yisroel
Klal Yisroel Helping Klal Yisroel is making a difference. At this point, many people need a lot of help. We can all share in this opportunity by lending a hand and supporting those who suddenly find themselves in need, particularly with Pesach quickly approaching. All funds donated will be handled with the highest degree of security and will be distributed b'derech kavod to those who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances.
