Dear Friend,

Moments before his soul ascended on high, Rabbi Shalom DovBer, the fifth Rebbe of Chabad Lubavitch, called for his son, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, and exclaimed: "I am ascending to heaven; the writings I leave for you . . . ."

Summing up his life's mission and passion, Rabbi Shalom DovBer pronounced how Chasidim can access the essence of a Rebbe even after his passing. It is through the study of his writings and teachings in which they infused their very essence.

The 20th of Cheshvan (this year on on Tuesday, October 26), marks the birth, in 1860, of Rabbi Shalom DovBer, whose contribution of more than 2,000 Chasidic discourses left an indelible mark on the profound heritage of the Chasidic movement.

Choose a book of discourses by Rabbi Shalom DovBer's father, Rabbi Shmuel, or one of these great selections.

Thank you for your continuous support.

With all good wishes.
Rabbi Yosef B. Friedman

THE REBBE
ON SPONSORING A PUBLICATION

"One who contributes from his wealth for the purpose of writing or publishing a book of a tzaddik --

Behold, at any given time, and in any corner of the world, that a person studies from this book, the tzaddik on high evokes merit on behalf of the donor through whom the book was disseminated."
--The Rebbe
