Senator Ram Villivalam Issues Press Release Regarding the Gubernatorial Veto of the Halal/Kosher Bill
SPRINGFIELD – In response to the governor's decision to veto House Bill 3643 regarding dietary concerns for our youth in schools and state facilities, State Senator Ram Villivalam (D-Chicago) issued a press release.

AIOI Facilitates Virtual Town Hall
Agudath Israel facilitated a town hall for the Orthodox community hosted by House Majority Leader Robyn Gabel, Senator Laura Fine, and Representative Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz. Each one of the elected officials gave an update on what was accomplished in Springfield by the legislature, and the different bills that they were involved with. The primary focus of participants was STC, and House Majority Leader Robyn Gabel addressed those concerns by sharing her view on what is needed to extend the program, which could happen during the upcoming veto session.
