Dear Alumni and Friends,

With Eretz Yisrael at the forefront of our minds, the past month has been a whirlwind of tears of sadness, hope, and chesed. We're so proud of our FYHS seniors, who traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the March for Israel Rally. This month, we also had the pleasure of hosting a schoolwide father-son mishnayos learn-a-thon and siyum, as a zechus for our chayalim. We're so proud of our alumni who have begun and promoted initiatives to support Eretz Yisrael.

In an effort to do our part, as a zechus for our chayalim and the safe return of the hostages, HTC invites alumni and friends to join us and Learn Shas Together. Please see below to sign up to complete part of Gemara for our siyum at the 101st gala on January 9th. At our gala, we will be honoring Rabbi Chaim Twerski for his 40+ years of Harbatzas HaTorah at our Yeshiva and paying tribute to Yeshiva alumni serving in the IDF. We invite you to RSVP and place an ad below.

Additionally, we invite all alumni and friends on the east coast to join us for our East Coast Alumni Event on December 19th, where we will welcome Rabbi Revah as the new Rosh HaYeshiva and wish tzeishchem l'shalom to Rabbi Twerski. RSVP below!

We look forward to celebrating with you,

Rabbi Shmuel L. Schuman

CEO, HTC

Vayishlach - Striving to Be Worthy

By Rabbi Yeshaya Zimmerman

"Then Yaakov became very frightened and distressed." Bereshis 32:8

In Parashas Vayeitzei (28:20), Yaakov makes a vow to Hashem that, at first glance, seems difficult to understand. He seems to be saying that if Hashem will lead him safely back to his father's house, then He will be his God.How can Yaakov, who is clearly a tzaddik, make such a vow? How can one who has spent years learning Torah, who has just experienced a...
