BRI WEEKLY UPDATES
Watch Reb Chaim Kramer make the Shehechiyanu blessing on our new book: A Century of Growth
We are very pleased to announce that the book A Century of Growth has come off the press and is already on its way to the United States.

With Hashem's help, we are hopeful that it will arrive before the upcoming holiday of Sukkot.
Uman Rosh Hashanah is approaching, and the obstacles are increasing!

Take note of the words Rebbe Nachman spoke about the greatness of his Rosh Hashanah:

"He warned to make a proclamation that whoever follows him and is close to him should be with him on Rosh Hashanah, and no one should be missing."

He said: "My Rosh Hashanah surpasses everything. It is a wonder to me, since my followers believe in me, why don't all those close to me ensure that they are with me on Rosh Hashanah, that no one should be missing? For my entire essence is connected to Rosh Hashanah."

He instructed to make a proclamation: that whoever follows him and is close to him should be with him on Rosh Hashanah - no one should be missing.

Those who merit to be with me on Rosh Hashanah, he continued, should rejoice greatly. "Eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks, for the joy of Hashem is your strength," and this was said regarding Rosh Hashanah.

BRI PARSHAH TIDBITS
"When you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God will deliver them into your hands, and you will capture its captives" (Devarim 21:10).

The Torah teaches us the tactics for waging the real battle against the evil inclination. "When you go to war against your enemies" refers to the struggle against the yetzer hara (evil inclination), which tries to bring us down through arrogance. It tells you, "You are perfect," making you feel that everything is fine and that there is no need to continue praying or striving in your service to Hashem. It wants you to take pride in your spiritual achievements, as if there is nothing more to improve.

The solution is found in the verse, "and you shall capture its captives." The very tool the yetzer hara wants to use to capture you, you must turn against it. When it tries to convince you to be arrogant, remember that our sages have taught: "Hashem says, 'I and the arrogant person cannot dwell together.'" Arrogance drives away the Divine Presence.

In short, we must work diligently to overcome the trait of arrogance, not allowing it to trap us in the net of the yetzer hara. We must fight with all our strength against its deceptive tactics.

May Hashem help us in this battle.

Shabbat Shalom!

Chaim Kramer
