A:Rav Zilberstein says by a discrepancy in a check we follow the classic rule the bottom wins so you can not get the bigger amount and as far as using this check in beis din you can only get the smaller amount the poskim say a check is not a shtar chov but giving instructions to the bank to pay the person you can back out in giving a check in America b/c you can cancel the check with regards to other countries you should check their laws about checks
