YWN Update on Maran Rav Elyashiv Shlita (12:01 IL – 05:01 EST)

Prof. Yonatan Halevi, the medical director of Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim describes Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv’s Shlita condition as “critical and life-threatening”. The posek hador’s family was summoned in the middle of the night as his condition took a sharp turn for the worse, apparently due to an aggressive systemic infection. The rav, who is 102, has been in an intensive care unit for the past months. The tzibur is requested to continue being mispallel for Rav Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.
