News from the Agudah:

  • The Yarchei Kallah Chol HaMoed extension is continuing, in the sugya of Sefiras HaOmer. Hachanah shiur begins now, at 10:30 am EDT, followed by Rabbi Meir Tzvi Spitzer at 11:30 am EDT. See below for full schedule and call in/log in information. The Yarchei Kallah program is being held l'zeicher nishmas R' Yaakov ben R' Nachum Mordechai, the Novominsker Rebbe.

  • With great tza'ar, we regret to inform you of the petirah of Rabbi Yosef Meir Kantor, Rav of the Agudas Yisroel shul on Remsen Avenue in Monsey.

  • For our NJ readers - make sure to see the video from Rabbi Avi Schnall of the Agudah's New Jersey office - click here. Applications for state loans for Coronavirus Relief are opening today, and if you need one, you should apply as soon as possible.

  • Pirchei's Hasmadah program is featuring master storyteller Rabbi Benny Wielgus today! 12 noon, EDT - make sure your son calls in at 425-436-6277, using PIN number 405736#

  • If your son misses Rabbi Wielgus (or he missed Rabbi Erps yesterday!) he can still listen by calling the Pirchei Hotline at 718-663-0212 - the recording will be put up later this afternoon.

  • Yom Tov is going on, quarantine is still in place, and people still need your help. Agudah's Klal Yisroel Helping Klal Yisroel campaign is ongoing, and your help can make the difference for a family in distress. Please donate generously at agudah.org/home/covid19-fund/.

  • Finally, as the last days of Yom Tov approach, we encourage you to look around your neighborhood, your block, or your building - is there someone who is alone and needs help with groceries? Or even a phone call to see how he or she is doing? Take the time - at times like these, a simple phone call can change a person's entire day.

We wish everyone a Gut Moed!
