News from the Agudah:

  • Kol hakavod to all of the boys who are part of the Masmidei HaSiyum Hasmodah program. 21,074 blatt of Gemara, 549,233 Mishnayos and 1,594,852 Pesukim of Chumash have been collectively learned by over 25,000 Masmidim across the globe in the past few weeks!

  • Hundreds and hundreds or people participated in our special Yom Tov Yarchei Kallah. Due to the high demand, the Torah Projects Commission will be continuing the Yarchei Kallah over the next week, on the topic of Hilchos Tefilah. Sunday's shiurim will be starting at 11:00 am EDT, please see below for more details.

  • As people are coming out of Yom Tov, it is becoming more important to know about what resources are available to people affected by coronavirus. Reminder: Our state directors have put together guidance regarding resources for individuals, small businesses, and non-profits in light of coronavirus. Click here to view the state by state resources and for contact info for your local regional Agudah office.

  • Your kids will enjoy this week's Pirchei newsletters. Click here for the weekly Parsha newsletter and here for the Pirchei pages from Pirchei of Chaim Berlin. Additionally, here is a pictorial of the different animals mentioned in Parshas Shemini that your kids will be sure to enjoy and learn a lot from.

  • Once again, we'd like to remind everyone that in response to the financial hardships brought upon by the coronavirus, Agudath Israel's SBCO division has set up an emergency mortgage hotline to assist you with all mortgage and other bank loan matters. Please call the hotline at 718-435-1300 extension 120. Leave a clear message as prompted, and a SBCO Counselor will return your call as soon as possible.

  • Whoever still hasn't completed the 2020 census can still do so on my2020census.gov, or by calling 1-844-330-2020. Funding for your community is directly impacted by census information! We have put together answers to some FAQs that you can see here.

  • Finally, the topic of dealing with grieving when there is no normal shivah and kevurah is on everyone's mind, unfortunately. Our colleagues at Ohel asked us to share that they have arranged for Rabbi Yisroel Reisman and Dr. Norman Blumenthal to speak on this topic this Sunday. Please see below for more details.
