Dear Alumni and Friends,

We were all so shocked that the beloved Novominsker Rebbe ZT"L, Rabbi Yaakov Perlow, was taken from us so unexpectedly just before Pesach. Due to the many challenges Klal Yisroel was dealing with during the pandemic, we could not turn our attention to mourn and remember the Rebbe properly.

Rabbi Perlow's career of harbatzas HaTorah began in our Yeshiva, from 1963-1970. His influence on our Yeshiva and the talmidim he taught in those years was immense and lifelong. As we approach Shavuos, the Yom Tov of kabblas HaTorah, we felt it was a fitting opportunity to present divrei zikaron from the Rebbe's talmidim who were mekabel Torah from him.

Special thank you to Rabbi Shabsai and Debbie Wolfe for generously sponsoring this video.

We hope that you will take the time to listen and read their words. These are words from the heart and you will gain an appreciation of the early years of this Gadol Hador's life in Chicago. The Rebbe ZT"L's talmidim went on to become outstanding talmidei chachamim and bnei Torah. May the inspiration gained from their words serve as a zechus for the Rebbe ZT"L, his family and the entire Jewish people.

Sincerely,

Rabbi Shmuel L. Schuman
