Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday, July 29 at 1:30 pm EDT at ou.org/women/video, for a presentation given by Dr. Tamara Morsel Eisenberg titled "Paris, 1240s versus Rome, 1550s: Mourning Burnt Books in the Era of Manuscript and Print." Dr. Tamara Morsel Eisenberg studies the cultural and intellectual history of early modern Ashkenaz. She completed her PhD, titled The Organization of Halakhic Knowledge in Early Modern Europe: The Transformation of a Scholarly Culture at the University of Pennsylvania's history department in May 2018. Tamara studies questions of knowledge organization, religious law, and scholarly culture. She is currently a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. Tamara was born in Belgium, completed her undergraduate studies in Israel, and lives New York with her husband Ori and her three sons.
