Rav Adin Steinsaltz, z"l: What Was His Secret? Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb

The OU mourns the passing of HaRav Adin Steinsaltz z"tl. Rav Steinsaltz, an outstanding and inspiring Torah scholar and visionary, authored more than 200 works in all areas of Torah and Jewish thought. His monumental translation of, and commentary on, the Talmud has made the Talmud accessible to countless individuals. To properly convey the magnitude of the loss, we asked Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, Executive Vice President, Emeritus, of the Orthodox Union and Editor-in-Chief of the Steinsaltz Koren Talmud Bavli, to capture and share his feelings. The tribute was originally published in The Jewish Press.
