  • Kronos makes Pas Yisroel pita and flat bread, and are accordingly marked cRc-PY (Pas Yisroel).  We have learned that unfortunately there was a specific period of time (beginning in mid-March for several weeks) when some varieties of those products did not meet Pas Yisroel standards.  The issue has been corrected and fresh products being sold at this time are Pas Yisroel when bearing the cRc-PY logo.  If you have older products in your freezer, you can determine if they were from those problematic batches by checking the date codes, as follows:
The date code has 6 digits, of which the first two indicate the year, and the next 3 show the Julian day of the year.  The last digit is an internal Kronos code.  The problematic batches are those where (a) the first two digits (the year) is 21, (b) the next three digits (Julian day) are between 076 and 151, and (c) the final digit is a "2". For example, a date code of 210762, 211002, or 211512 is from a batch that is not Pas Yisroel, but a code of 203252, 210752, 211003, or 211522 is Pas Yisroel when bearing the cRc-PY logo.

  • Please note further clarification and follow up about our 6/18/21 alert regarding Nature's Delight Restaurant (located on 554 W. Broadway in Monticello, NY): All future advertisements will have the incorrect cRc logo replaced with the logo of the Central Rabbinical Congress, Hisachdus HaRabanim, which, as indicated on our website, is a recommended Kashrus agency.

  • Please note that Mannon's 3oz Double Chocolate Chip Soft Baked individual wrapped Classic Cookie brand soft baked bears a cRc with the 654 on the label. This product is actually dairy as indicated in the ingredient panel. The dairy designation was inadvertently left off the packaging.  Corrective action is being taken.
