Update - Yosef Ezriel ben Chaya Michal
It's been awhile since the last update, so there have bh bh been some developments. Regarding yossi, although I see little change in him, the nurses and therapists really feel that Yossi is connecting much more than before. Even though he cannot respond, they sense he is totally hearing and sensing people there and what is going on around him. So iyh we hope to have his friends start visiting him soon and putting even more effort into stimulating his environment.
Yossi has been moved to the general pediatric unit in Rambam; a bit more effort for us since someone really has to be with him 24 hours a day since the care, although fine, is understandably not on icu level. (And I must say, the icu staff in Rambam has been especially wonderful in terms of care and caring of both Yossi and his family.) Moving him closer to home to make things easier is not a great idea right now, because as of this morning, bh bh Alyn has agreed to take Yossi into their rehab program July 1st. So moving him twice is not such a great option. Iyh Alyn should be a good shaliach and Yossi will have a complete refuah bekarov.
Something beautiful.....Yechiel was parking the car last week and the attendant, not noticeably religious, left his little booth and followed Yechiel. When Yechiel got out of the car he asked him....."you've been parking here a long time and you're obviously not a hospital employee (lol, not this one anyway). Why are you here?" Yechiel explained. The guy asked how he can help. Yechiel told him just to daven for us. So he wrote down Yossi's name and promised to daven. I will have to write a book one day about "mi k'amcha yisrael".

פרק 6/ו
(א) לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינוֹת עַל הַשְּׁמִינִית מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד:
(ב) ה' אַל בְּאַפְּךָ תוֹכִיחֵנִי וְאַל בַּחֲמָתְךָ תְיַסְּרֵנִי:
(ג) חָנֵּנִי ה' כִּי אֻמְלַל אָנִי רְפָאֵנִי ה' כִּי נִבְהֲלוּ עֲצָמָי:
(ד) וְנַפְשִׁי נִבְהֲלָה מְאֹד וְאַתָּה ה' עַד מָתָי:
(ה) שׁוּבָה ה' חַלְּצָה נַפְשִׁי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי לְמַעַן חַסְדֶּךָ:

1) For the musician, with musical accompaniment on the sheminis instrument, a mizmor by David. (2) Hashem, don't rebuke me in Your anger. Don't chastise me in Your rage. (3) Grant me Your mercy, Hashem, for I have been cut down. (4) Heal me, Hashem, for my bones shake with terror. My soul is utterly terrified, and You Hashem — How long?
