Dear Aneinu Members,


This Shabbos is Shabbos Mevarchim for Chodesh Adar. When the month of Adar enters, we increase in joy.-Talmud, Taanit 29a.


It is a mitzvah for a Jew to serve Hashem with simcha every day of the year. Even amidst the tragedies, Klal Yisroel rejoices in the special multi-faceted relationship that we have with our Creator. We are an eternal people, and every Jew has an eternal neshama. There is meaning in our suffering and it is all to serve a purpose. We are here to rectify ourselves and the world.


Haman thought that the month of Adar was the best time to implement his plan to destroy the Jewish nation, because it was the month in which Moshe Rabbeinu was niftar. He didn't realize that even though we have our ups and downs, our relationship with Hashem will always be eternal. Yes, our Bais Hamikdash had been destroyed, and our people were living in exile, but Hashem's relationship with us never changes. Purim reminds us of that. Even when things seem so bleak, we know that they can change in the blink of an eye. This is the source of true simcha.


May we all soon merit to see yeshuos and refuos on a personal level, and as a nation, and may we all joyously celebrate and rejoice together with the coming of Mashiach and the geulah shlema.

Please remember to say your Tehillim this Shabbos (and every Shabbos). As the days are now much shorter, it is perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
