This week's idea on Mishna 6:9 is written by Mori Sokal. Mori made Aliyah with her family in 2006. She has a Masters degree in special education and has been teaching in both elementary and high school for many years. Mori likes to give an occasional shiur in the weekly women's learning group that Lucy ran in Efrat, and also writes a blog for Times of Israel about life here with its many challenges and blessings.

In Mori's words: "It is an honor to add to this beautiful collection of learning in honor of Lucy, Maia and Rina. Lucy was my close friend and a shining example of values such as putting effort into work, taking time for others (especially her family and students), and helping her friends feel seen, heard, and valued. I encouraged Lucy to work at my school, but it was our school that was blessed by her presence, wisdom and caring. This week is Yom Hazikaron for chayalim and victims of terror, so it is especially meaningful to bring something positive to the world in the name of the Dee family, who have been a shining example of light in dark times. May we all hear besorot tovot soon in merit of our learning." 💙
