[Aneinu] Tefillos Needed for Maran Rav Shteinman

There has been a deterioration in the condition of Maran Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, who has been hospitalized at the Intensive Care Unit at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak since Sunday. Rav Shteinman had previously been making strides. In fact, doctors had been conferring to decide whether to transfer him to a regular ward or release him to his home as soon as Sunday. Click Here! On Erev Shabbos, however, the rosh yeshiva’s physician, Dr. Avrohom Weinberg, reported a worsening of Rav Shteinman’s situation. Doctors at the hospital are carefully examining Rav Shteinman, who is suffering from immense weakness and is in need of Divine mercy. The hospital staff said that while Rav Shteinman was recovering from pneumonia, the impact of the illness took a toll on him, causing a general deterioration in his medical condition. Among those monitoring the situation are the hospital’s medical director, Dr. Motti Ravid, Director of Intensive Care Dr. Eliyahu Sorkin, director of the Department of Internal Medicine Dr. Ilan Bank, and Dr. Weinberg. They are all gravely concerned about Rav Shteinman’s condition. Yeshivos across the Torah world are reciting special tefillos for Rav Shteinman. Rav Chaim Kanievsky told those who asked him for advice to increase tefillos and say kappitlach Tehillim tonight following Ma’ariv, to add sedorim in Torah learning, and for women to say additional tefillos at candle lighting. Rav Chaim himself said, “I have to add an hour of study.” All are asked to daven for Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Faiga. {Matzav.com Israel}
