Face Coverings: Beginning today, individuals will be required to wear a face-covering or a mask when in a public place where they can't maintain a six-foot social distance. This new requirement applies to all individuals over the age of two who are able to medically tolerate a face-covering or a mask. This covering just needs to be a cloth face-cover, it does not need to be medical grade PPE.

Dear Neighbor,

What a wonderful day it is today! Please, take the opportunity to walk around your lawn or safely, with appropriate gear, around the neighborhood. It's so important during these days of crisis to enjoy the small natural pleasures we are given.

It is my sincere hope and prayer that this update finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy during this difficult time.

Governor Pritzker, who has been working nonstop with his staff and the legislature to keep us safe from harm, has extended his Stay at Home order through the end of May in order to continue to keep Illinoisans safe. There are several changes to his previous Executive Orders that my office will go over in this update.

Our continued adherence to social distancing guidelines is helping us flatten the curve and protect our more at risk neighbors from COVID-19.

My family and I are deeply grateful to our amazing first responders and healthcare workers across the 16th District and our State for the vital work they are doing to save lives. Thank you also to our essential workers at grocery stores, truck drivers, warehouse workers and many others who have to continue to show up to work everyday.

Finally, I pray to G-d above that He help and guide those who are working 24/7 to find a cure or an appropriate treatment for this terrible virus so we can all begin to safely return to our places of worship, work, study, entertainment and most of all, each other.

My staff continues to work remote and if you are in need of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contacts us at 847.673.1131 or email me directly at repymkalish@gmail.com.

All the best,

Yehiel "Mark" Kalish
