Dear HTC, Blitstein and FYHS Community,
I know we all miss being in shul.
We miss the experience of being together, of davening together as a Kehilah. Supporting one another in ways large and small, from answering "Amein" to someone's kaddish to watching a bar mitzvah boy get called up to the Torah for the first time. Or even just standing in for a 10 PM ma'ariv to help make a minyan.
There's no replacement for it. We miss it dearly.
I don't know about you, but I also miss the "little things" of shul: The feeling of holding a larger siddur in my hands. The smell of the kiddush wafting through the air. The clop on the shtender before Musaf on Rosh Chodesh. And of course, the clanging sounds of the pushka, as volunteers come around asking for small change or a dollar bill. Even putting a quarter into the pushka takes me back to my youth, giving me the opportunity to give tzedaka every single day, no matter the amount.
While we can't enjoy the sights and sounds of davening together right now, HTC is pleased to offer you an easy way to virtually capture that daily pushka deposit. HTC is proud to introduce the Digital Daily Pushka! You can easily sign up to give a daily amount by credit card and have the automatic mitzvah of giving tzedaka virtually every morning.
Your small change may not seem like a lot of money, but your daily giving can make a huge impact and help our Yeshiva during these tough times. I encourage you to visit our donate page to drop some tzedakah into our Digital Daily Pushka!
May our tzedakah serve as a merit to protect us during these difficult times.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Shmuel L. Schuman
CEO, Hebrew Theological College
