Friends,
I just finished talking with the police commander for the 24th district (WRP) and she told me something I need to share. The Jewish community has been great in showing their appreciation for the officers in our neighborhoods. People and organizations have been dropping off food, writing notes etc.
But what they need most right now is the spontaneous greetings, the kind word or just waving a friendly hand as they drive by. That gives them the encouragement they need most when on the streets. She actually asked me to spread the word, so please forward this to your other chats.
