Subject: An Important Update from JCC Chicago – Bernard Horwich JCC

Dear Bernard Horwich JCC Friends,
As you may know, the Bernard Horwich JCC is serving as a COVID-19 testing site for the West Rogers Park community. Given the rise in cases and the deep impact on the West Rogers Park community, the J is proud to work in in partnership with local elected officials to offer free testing and ensure the health and safety of all.
Please know that the testing site has been organized to similarly ensure the health and safety of our Early Childhood families, fitness center users and staff. The testing location is on the northwest side of the building, on the first floor in the Rosenstone room. Individuals must make an appointment to be tested and will enter and exit Rosenstone through a separate, dedicated door. No one coming for testing, including test site volunteers, will be able to enter any JCC program space. In addition, Rosenstone has a dedicated air handler which will ensure ventilation within the room as well as protection of the JCC's central ventilation system.
I recognize that it may cause concern to know that individuals being tested for COVID-19 are in proximity. Again, the health and safety of the community is always our primary concern and the testing program does not jeopardize the closed environment we have created for our young learners, program participants and staff.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss, you may reach me at agoodman@jccchicago.org. Thank you for your care and understanding during this time.
Good Shabbos,
Addie Goodman
President & CEO
