Dear Mr. Chroman,
The Jewish world lost a luminary earlier this year, with the untimely passing of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, former chief rabbi of the United Kingdom and a brilliant scholar, at the age of 72.
Rabbi Sacks was a prolific writer who touched upon thousands of subjects, bringing to each one lucid Torah wisdom and empowering inspiration.
His first book, originally published in 1986, is Torah Studies, an English adaptation from the essays (sichot) of the Rebbe on the weekly Torah portion.
To honor Rabbi Sacks, six chief rabbis from around the world have recorded classes on a sichah of this week, Vayechi, using Rabbi Sacks's rendering as a base.
This beautiful memorial is organized by Project Likkutei Sichos, a learning initiative that will ultimately see its thousands of participants complete the 39-volumes of the Rebbe's edited talks in their entirety.
Please join us in taking part in this deeply meaningful program and watch the class of your choice, dedicating your Torah study to the merit of Harav Yaakov Zvi ben David Arieh z"l.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Chabad.org
