Subject: [chicago-aneinu] Get a COVID-19 Vaccine in the 50th Ward
Get a COVID-19 Vaccine in the 50th Ward | | | | Dear Neighbor, I am pleased to report that we have several new, local options for getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Prism Health Lab is opening a vaccination site at 6301 N. Western. There are currently 150 vaccination slots designated solely for eligible 50th Ward residents beginning TOMORROW (Wednesday, March 10). Pre-register now at prism.org/HQ or by calling 1-800-325-1812. Once approved, you will receive a text or email with information to schedule your appointment. A lot of hard work went into securing a dedicated vaccine site in the 50th Ward. Our neighborhood was initially hit hard by the pandemic, and it is only right that we have local options for ending it. Thank you to everyone who helped make this new site a reality. Another local option is the Community Vaccine Alliance, which is already giving vaccines to eligible individuals at the Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov elementary school, located at 3200 W. Peterson. To pre-register, complete the survey here. You will receive an exclusive voucher code by email when appointments are available. The Community Vaccine Alliance is a partnership between Agudath Israel of Illinois, Hatzalah Chicago, and Refuah311 to offer equitable access to vaccines in our neighborhood. Vaccines are currently available to all eligible individuals in Chicago. For more information, click here. The COVID-19 vaccine has changed the way we fight the pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new recommendations this week for fully vaccinated people, which allow for looser restrictions. The vaccine is the best chance we have to get life back to normal, and I strongly encourage everyone to receive it as soon as it is available for your eligibility group. Other vaccine options throughout the city are available at www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid19-vaccine/home/vaccine-finder.html. For the most up-to-date information on the vaccine, visit chicago.gov/covidvax. Stay safe, safe healthy, and sign up for your vaccine appointment now! Sincerely, Debra L.
