Kislev is the month of transformation from darkness to light. In today's world of spiritual darkness, the glowing lights of the Chanukah menorah, which symbolize the light of Torah, are needed more than ever. The values of immorality and materialism prevalent in today's society, can only be fought with the light of Torah. As we prepare for the coming chag of Chanukah we should think of how we can rededicate ourselves to serving Hashem with renewed enthusiasm and devotion. Just as we are depending on Hashem, Hashem is depending on us to bring tikkun to the world through our mitzvos, tefillah, chesed, and Torah.
Please remember to say your Tehillim this Shabbos! As the days are now much shorter, it is perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
