Subject: [chicago-aneinu] Please Say your Tehillim on Shabbos

BS"D

Dear Aneinu Members,

I hope you all had an uplifting Lag B'Omer. It was a bittersweet day as we remembered the 45 kedoshim who were lost just a year ago. We are reminded that there are 2 young boys who need our tefillos as they have still not recovered from their injuries from that tragic day. Yosef Ezriel ben Chaya Michal and Elazar ben Reuma have a long and difficult recovery ahead of them. Their amazing parents are role models of emunah and bitachon, and have inspired so many with their acceptance of Hashem's will.  As Michal Reit wrote in her recent update, she is not angry and she does not blame anyone for what happened to Yossi. She accepts that everything comes from Hashem.

Shavuos is almost here. Once again we will be encamped around Har Sinai waiting for that awesome
moment of saying naaseh v'nishmah and accepting the Torah unconditionally. Just as back then, we must be k'ish echad b'lev echad, one person with one heart. If we can remind ourselves that any slight or hurt caused by another person is really coming from Hashem for the benefit of our growth, and that each person that causes us pain is just a shaliach, we can remove all negative feelings from our hearts. We shouldn't need to lose 45 tzaddikim to remind us that we really love each other. We have had so many tragedies since last Lag B'omer, and it seems that we still haven't learned this important lesson.

We all want to see Mashiach and the geulah shlema. If we can really work on ingraining in ourselves, Ein Od Milvado, everything comes from Hashem, then soon we will see how everything happened in the best way possible for each and every one of us. Please, let's really work on this so that we can see an end to the tragedies, pain and suffering that we see all around us. May we all be zoche to see the dawn of a new day of a world free of sickness, wars, poverty, sadness, and strife. A world of peace, joy, clarity, and abundance. A world filled with the knowledge of Hashem.

Please remember to say your Tehillim this Shabbos. B"H the days are longer now, but It is still perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
