| | We always appreciate hearing from our readers – you – with your questions, comments, and suggestions. We recently received a number of emails about the Substantial Equivalency campaign, two of which we'd like to share: | | To whom it may concern, Thank you for informing the balabatim nationally about the upcoming vote on the fate of the private schools (Yeshivos, etc.) in NY. I personally have sent in an email to voice opposition to this regulation and to ask that it not be implemented. I have sent these newsletters to relatives and friends to ask them to also send in a letter of opposition. With all due respect, I would like to ask if a letter asking all the Jews to DAVEN to Hashem to intervene on our behalf with the dire NY situation at hand, has been sent out. I may have missed it. I would suggest that with only a few days left, that a letter be sent out immediately to ask for Klal Yisroel to Daven for our success in voting down this potential tragic regulation on our schools. This does not need to be a huge get together in shuls to say Tehillim. This needs to be a concerted effort on the part of individuals davening as Partners in Prayer for Hashem to cancel the regulations!! Kol Tuv, L.R. Dear L.R., We have heard from quite a few of our constituents with this and similar questions. You are so right. None of our hishtadlus is in any way intended to minimize the role of tefillah in addressing this potentially devastating decree. Please do continue to daven, and may Hashem answer our tefillos favorably! | | Did a previous News From Agudas Yisroel include a link to the proposed NYS regulations we're supposed to object to? If it did, sorry I missed it. If it didn't, please include in the next issue. It helps to know what we're commenting on. Thank you. D.M. Dear D.M., Thank you for reaching out about this: Yes, this is an obvious oversight on our part, thankfully easily remedied. You can read the proposed regulations by clicking here. Thank you for the suggestion to share them here! | | PCS Master of Science in Accounting Program | | Last call to join the PCS master of science in accounting program starting this Sunday, May 29.
