Please have extra Kavanah (concentration) for the situation in Ukraine.
Shabbat, May 28 – כ"ז אייר
Tehillim 93
This psalm is written in the past tense since this is what Moshiach will say in retrospect about Hashem in the Messianic era. "Hashem's glory has finally been revealed…"
"Hashem will have donned 'Gayut' - grandeur"(v.2).
But isn't "Gayut" (v.1) normally translated as "haughtiness"? Haughtiness is an ugly and despicable trait. How can we praise Hashem with this negative attribute?!
With respect to man, "Ga'avah" is "haughtiness". Ga'avah is man's statement that the powers that he has are due to him. Or perhaps he claims to have abilities that he really doesn't have.
However, with respect to Hashem, "Ga'avah" is translated as "grandeur" and it is a beautiful trait. This is because, by definition, with respect to Hashem, His powers are from Him. He doesn't claim to have more capabilities that he actually has. To the contrary, all the powers that we are able to see are only a small glimpse of what Hashem can actually do.
Therefore, by definition, the negative trait of haughtiness cannot exist by Hashem.
This is the perek that we say on Friday, the sixth day of the week, because on the sixth day of creation when all was complete, Hashem's true splendor and glory came out.
In a sense, we emulate Hashem when we dress in our best clothes on Friday afternoon in preparation of Shabbat.
Segula for this perek: For victory over an adversary in court. (From the Sefer Shimush Tehillim attributed to Rav Hai Gaon (969 -1038).)
1.  Hashem has reigned; He has attired Himself with majesty; Hashem has attired Himself, He has girded Himself with might. The world also is established that it cannot be moved.
2.  Your throne is established of old; You are from everlasting.
3.  The rivers have raised, O Hashem, the rivers have raised their voice; the rivers have raised their depths.
4.  More than the voices of great waters and more than the mightiest breakers of the sea, is Hashem mighty on high.
5.  Your testimonies are very faithful to Your house, the dwelling of holiness, O Hashem, to the length of days.
