Please have extra Kavanah (concentration) for the situation in Ukraine.
Shabbat, June 18 –
Tehillim 114
The second perek of "Hallel HaMitzri" continues to praise to Hashem, but it also is a praise to Am Yisrael and in particular, to the Tribe of Yehuda.
What is special about the Jewish Nation and what did the tribe of Yehuda do to merit that lasting kingship will come from its tribe (v.2)?
Nachshon ben Aminadav from the Tribe of Yehuda was the first to jump into the Yam Suf. The Tribe of Yehuda followed suit. Because they were willing to face martyrdom for the sake of heaven, that's why they are fit to be Kings of Israel.
Am Yisrael became the nation of Hashem when they also engaged in a selfless act. This was the act of completely accepting the Torah no matter what they are asked to do with the famous words of "Na'aseh V'Nishma", "we will do and we will listen".
Perhaps it was the Tribe of Yehuda that taught Am Yisrael to do first for Hashem before doing for themselves.
Segula for this perek: For success in business. (From the Sefer Shimush Tehillim attributed to Rav Hai Gaon (969 -1038).)
1.  When Israel left Egypt, the house of Jacob [left] a people of a strange tongue,
2.  Judah became His holy nation, Israel His dominion.
3.  The sea saw and fled; the Jordan turned backward.
4.  The mountains danced like rams, hills like young sheep.
5.  What frightens you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn backward?
6.  You mountains, that you dance like rams; you hills, like young sheep?
7.  From before the Master, Who created the earth, from before the God of Jacob,
8.  Who transforms the rock into a pond of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
