Please have extra Kavanah (concentration) for the situation in Ukraine.
Friday, July 1 –
Tehillim 122
The following perek, where David HaMelech discusses the pilgrimages to the Holy City of Yerushalayim, fits in well to the series of psalms called "Shir HaMa'a lot" since anyone visiting Yerushalayim is automatically elevated spiritually.
The Mishna in Pirkei Avot (5:8) tells us that there was a miracle that no matter how many people converged in Yerushalayim, there was always enough space for everyone. Even in the Beit HaMikdash, where there was standing room only, the Mishna further relates, there was a miracle that when they bowed there was always room for everyone.
Segula for this perek: 1. To ensure that an upcoming meeting with an important individual will go well. 2. For blessing in general (if recited in a Beit Kenesset). (From the Sefer Shimush Tehillim attributed to Rav Hai Gaon (969 -1038).)
1.  A song of ascents of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of Hashem."
2.  Our feet were standing within your gates, O Jerusalem.
3.  The built-up Jerusalem is like a city that was joined together within itself.
4.  There ascended the tribes, the tribes of God, testimony to Israel, to give thanks to the name of Hashem.
5.  For there were set thrones for judgment, thrones for the house of David.
6.  Request the welfare of Jerusalem; may those who love you enjoy tranquility.
7.  May there be peace in your wall, tranquility in your palaces.
8.  For the sake of my brethren and my companions, I shall now speak of peace in you.
9.  For the sake of the house of Hashem our God, I shall beg for goodness for you.
