I have attached an updated Refoeinu list.

BS"D

Dear Aneinu Members,

The air feels heavy, but not from the summer heat. The feeling of pain, sadness, and loss, permeates the atmosphere. I believe it is the anguish of the Shechina that we feel, a grief that is so tangible, deep, and profound at this time of year. Our beloved Father is suffering. He yearns to be reunited with His children. He sees our pain and He feels our agony, and He wants it to end. Our troubles, are His troubles. Our suffering, is His suffering. The Shechina feels the pain of every single Jew. EVERY SINGLE JEW! It is impossible for us to comprehend what that feels like.

We can ask the question, if Hashem is the cause of everything, why doesn't He just make the problems go away? Why does He cause Himself so much pain? If a mother sees that her child is engaging in self-destructive behavior, and just ignores it, is that good for the child? Is she being a good mother? Just as a parent who has punished a child for misbehaving, to teach the child the difference between right and wrong, our Father is waiting for us to realize that we need Him. That everything depends on Him. That doing His will is really beneficial for us. Every thing that we suffer, whether large or small, helps us grow and reach our potential to become the people that we are meant to be.

It is not only our suffering that causes Hashem pain. Every time we sin we cause Hashem pain. The Zohar tells us that Hashem created the world in order to bestow goodness. The mitzvos are pipelines that release bracha upon us with every positive action. Hashem wants to gives us bountiful blessings, but when we sin we create a blockage in the pipeline and we prevent Hashem from bestowing HIs goodness upon us.

This Tisha B'Av we need to focus not only on our pain, but we need to really feel the pain of the Shechina who is yearning for her children. Let's reaffirm our love and commitment to the One who loves us more than we can ever imagine. Let's show our Father that we are ready to go home.

Please remember to say your Tehillim this Shabbos. B"H the days are long, but it is perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
